We’re excited to introduce our SHOPKEEPERS SECRETS SERIES:  Find out what NYC’s shopkeepers MUST EAT at their own shop?

Meet Joe (owner of Joe’s Pizza on our Greenwich Village Tour) and his Grandson Sal.

MUST EAT ITEM: Their 1st choice is the (often overlooked) fresh mozzarella slice although they’re all-inclusive: “We serve what we like. If you want something else, you gotta go somewhere else.”

Joe also loves the corner of the Sicilian just out of the oven (I waited around for one myself and agree it was pretty mind blowing!)

WHAT YOU DON’T KNOW: Sal saves the imperfect slices for himself. It might look like he’s throwing them away, but he secretly puts them aside for his lunch. Thanks for taking one for the team, Sal.
