Ted is not only a tour guide for Foods of NY Tours, he’s also a proud staff member of the Greenwich Village Society for Historical Preservation. Yep, our guides really know their stuff.

Besides taking the Original Greenwich Village tour–led by Ted, of course!–here are Ted’s recommendations for his favorite NYC winter activities.

1. Ice skating at Bryant Park
It’s a winter wonderland!
2. Neapolitan Christmas tree at the Metropolitan Museum of Art

3. Morgan Library on a Friday evening (when it’s free!)
Every holiday season, the Morgan displays Charles Dickens’s original manuscript of A Christmas Carol in Pierpont Morgan’s historic library.

4. The Upper Manhattan historic homes: Dyckman Farmhouse, Morris-Jumel Mansion, Hamilton Grange
Are we in the country? Or are we just uptown? At these three places, it’s hard to tell!
