Our tour guides love to travel!! And, of course, like any great food tour guide, while they are exploring the world, they are also discovering the local cuisine.  Original Greenwich Village & Nolita Tour Guide Jordan, just got back from Norway. Here’s a little insight, from Jordan, into the regional cuisine he discovered on his trip  —

Recently I traveled to Norway. When I originally booked this trip it was to complete the Trolltunga hike. I was not imagining the great food offered in a majority of the country I visited. Norway had some of the freshest seafood and most delicious pastry I have ever had. These homemade Norwegian waffles (featured in the picture) covered with raspberry jam and Nutella were a highlight that I craved every morning. The sweet cheese that is pictured is referred to as a Norwegian Brunost. Norwegian Brunost is a tan-colored whey cheese with a brown cheese made from cow’s milk, with a mild and sweet taste of caramel. I became addicted… I miss this vacation daily pairing so much!
